an A- movie about the making of a B movie

caught the last half (or what i will assume to be the last half) of roman coppola‘s film CQ over Star World just before dozing off yesterday morning. looked like a treat, with very apt twee pop music setting the mood, and the misfits of filmmaking spread thick all over the movie. the first 5 minutes looked interesting enough, but what got me decided to actually sit through what’s left of it came in the persona of premiere american geekboy Jason Schwartzman. heck, i’ll watch any of this dude’s films anytime; he was especially excellent in wes anderson‘s Rushmore.

would definitely like to see this in its complete form soon.

notable quote from the film:

Paul: I just want to capture what’s real and honest.
Marlene: And what if it’s boring?
