Short Review: Batman Begins

Batman Begins comes off as a fine movie adaptation of a comic book hero’s reason for being. Director Christopher Nolan provided a more rustic approach to the story, but still confined himself to faithfully conform to what was expected of the latest installment to the Batman movie franchise, which did badly need a good revival. Also, there wasn’t really any strong villain presence, nor love story angle, action scenes, etc., hence, not much of a lingering aftertaste.

No cinematic breakthroughs to be seen here, but it was aptly dark, as required. I would love to hear less of the standard, campy one-liners, though.
