I haven’t gone through expat-oriented Shanghai sites yet, but shanghaidiaries and shanghaiist seems to be a good resource to exploring the city. Here’s hoping I can also afford to explore sights outside the city, too.
As for local -non-cable enabled- TV surfing, there’re more than 30 channels to pick from, all Chinese-speaking. About half of the channels seem to have adapated the VJ-hosted format, a handful of channels are dedicated to movies and soaps, and one or two for cartoons. I’d usually turn the TV
on to kill the sometimes-creepy silence of the apartment; the previous occupants left their wedding album and a baby-walker.
Weekend plans? None yet, but I’m hopeful the officemates/apartment-mates could cook something up, that doesn’t require much RMB’s to spend.
Hey, Kamusta ang Trabaho?
Work is…. ‘fine’ 🙂 Sabi ko nga, I’m here in chekwa-land to primarily take pictures and be a tourist 🙂
