Shanghai Nanhui Peach Blossom Festival

Nanhui (pronounced nan-hwey) District, a suburb of Shanghai, has been the venue for the Peach Blossom Festival since 1991. With the highly regarded local blooms, and performances, from lion dances, stilts and minority dances, it wasn’t a hard-sell for me. Read more about the festival here.

So, I registered online for a half-day tour, and armed with no-sleep, and a shaking hand from some coffee, I went along with fellow-expats for the hour-or-so ride, amidst pending shadowy skies and bad-weather forecasts.

More to be written on this entry at a later time. Meanwhile, enjoy the pictures:

  1. Henry: Hey, thanks for visiting.

markku: Ano ika yung RAW? Wehehehe. I can’t use RAW, no PC of my own here in Shanghai, and I “can’t” install stuff on my work PC. I actually think the photo’s are too… contrasty. Might re-edit them when I have the time. Thanks for the compliment, though 🙂
