iPod on Ubuntu Headaches? Switch to Rockbox!
My 4G iPod + my Ubuntu Edgy install = hours of troubleshooting. And yes, I even wiped out the songs from my iPod in the process. Thank dog for backups! Instead, I dealt with it the easy way: ditch the Apple firmware, embrace Rockbox (Open Source Jukebox Firmware)! Got loads of customization options and games, too ;)
