I have kept my distance from the blogger scene, the meetups, and anything else that would remind me that I should have probably considered getting into this possible revenue-stream source, since I’ve been keeping web journals for about 6 years already, blah blah blah, but the promise of free food got me.
So, I was at the Taste Asia Blogger Food Fest last night, at the SM Mall of Asia, where 100++ bloggers converged, and were fed generously by SM Hypermart’s Taste Asia.
Met up with Karla, the de facto photo buddy at events happening southside of the metro, and got to greet familiar faces, and meet new ones: Aileen Apolo (Google Country Representative), Juned (who camera-geek-talked with me, as usual), Markku, Jayvee, good ol’ college buddy Jonas delos Reyes of Yehey, photography-curious stude Happy, Abel of Technoverde, a couple of PinoyTechBlog pioneers (him, him, and Abe was too busy), and a lot more.
How’s the food? Well, read the official SM Hypermart press release here. Nag-baon ako when I saw the food crew stacking food on styro’s 🙂
Surprisingly, people I don’t know, err, know me. And I’m like, oh yeah, maybe its because I’m still on the PTB About page. But then they mention I take photos.
Nice.
Photos here.
eto blogger shit TAG
It’s great to see you again bro! Ok ang mga pics. 🙂 See you in other events.
Thanks for coming Rain! It was nice meeting you 🙂
Uy, Karla… Hehehe.
Pre mistyped URL ko. Hahaha! 🙂
“Surprisingly, people I don’t know, err, know me.” – Yup, you are famous =)
I think your name always comes up when the words camera and photography are mentioned on the same page. Keywords LOL!
I hope to catch you again soon. and thanks for the paper-on-flash tip re: subjects with eyeglasses like me..
^
^
^ agreed. LOL
lyn: Isip pa ako :p
Jonas: Sure! Kung libre ako 🙂
Aileen: Sa uulitin!
markku: Gagu. Nagpapalakas lang ako, gusto ko i-shoot yung kapatid. Wahaha. Corrected na yung link mo.
jun: You are welcome. You introducing me to young bloggers was THE highlight of the night. Yung mga projects ko pala with my photography group ay bina-backup ng simbahan, at one recent discovery at nakakamanghang eksena na nakita ko sa Flickr ay yung mga ‘santero‘. Galing e.
kirby: Ok yung pinoyphotoblog, sana ma-maintain nyo. Makikita din dyan yung development nyo bilang litratista.
