Links of the Day: Then, Now
Links of the day:
One: Mesmerizing photos over at Shorpy, The 100 Year-Old Photo Blog.
Two: The supposed world’s highest man-made structure is the skywalk over the Grand Canyon. A unique photo-op, that I apparently won’t enjoy fully if and when given the chance, due to mild acrophobia (which was brutally challenged here).
Weekly Site Re-Design?!
Barely a week with a K2, 3-column theme, I had to agree with Sonny: the site was not looking good, at all. The other 3-column themes look blah, so after random searching, found out about Tarski, which claims to be lightweight, flexible, and widget-friendly. Loving it so far, especially the constants.php implementation/feature, which is great for ad placements, and ideal when upgrading to the latest theme version. If you have a php code to insert though, you have to do it the old-skool way (via sidebar.php, etc.). Commenting on the new design is encouraged :)

Video: Obando, Bulacan
Recently found available for online video consumption: an old (early 2000?) Living Asia Channel feature of my hometown Obando (Bulacan).
Not exactly for-tourists material, though.
Linda! Linda!
There’re a lot of things going on for Japanese film Linda Linda Linda (IMDB entry, trailer), but lets start first with a scene from it (took the lead from Greencine, who mentioned that it was the 2006 favorite among Japanese movie site Midnight Eye readers):
Then: there’s the next song, the official video of the first song, the original from The Blue Hearts, James Iha writing the film score, a very catchy single from the band’s bassist (actual pro-musician), the drummer being Noriko from Battle Royale, the guitarist being hot, and the twenty-something Korean frontwoman being a photographer.
MUST. SEE. THIS.
I AM CURRENTLY VIEWING THIS!
Will be writing a proper review soon.

Paramita’s Tala Video Released
Hat-tip to Karla for this bit of news: Paramita’s Tala video is now enjoying airplay over that videoke-slash-music-video-channel; its available online via the director’s Multiply site. Further convince yourself with this fetching video still. Great to know this, since Tala is hands-down the best song from the band’s album.
