Regret of the Year
I discovered Emilie Simon last year when I was in Shanghai. Fell in love with her, adored her music. So, what kind of imbecile should I call myself for not going to her FREE concert last Friday? See, I only knew about it THE DAY AFTER. I’ve already said my piece here, and some have shared their sentiments re my suffering. For photos of the gig, head on over here.
VIDEO: Sneaker Pimps, Songs From Becoming X
Yesterday late evening/today early morning was spent searching for songs to feed the iPod, and I wanted to hear familiar music, preferably the type now rotting on my neglected audio tapes. A random search lead me to an old fave: the trip-hop outfit Sneaker Pimps.
For those who missed the mid-90s, here are the official music videos from the band’s Becoming X record:

The Restless Gig Photography Saga
I wanted to rest last weekend after the last Narda gig. My ears were still ringing on my second off-day, when I found out that there’d be a free gig again at Eastwood City. Looked at the lineup, and concluded I’ve already seen some of these bands, albeit at the same stage, too. But then, I was still on a gig-photographer-high, so I decided to feed the ego again, and I did have work the next day anyway, so I might as well spend the night at the office. Oh, and this is another chance to take out the camera flash and practice.
Shot at the ODYSSEY SOUNDCRASH! event, April 14, 2007, at Eastwood Central Plaza.
Sister of famed 80s teenstar Kristina Paner, Danita is packaged as a pop-rock star. I didn’t have high hopes for the shots I have of her, but they came out well-enough. Pretty young stunner here, would love to shoot her again.
Ang Bandang Narda’s Farewell Gig
I’ve written about the band Narda, took gig shots, shot some live video clips, did album reviews. You can call it fanboy-ism, I call it sheer fascination.
Last Thursday, my first time at Saguijo, purportedly the best rock joint anywhere, the remaining members of Narda, along with fellow musicians and fans, put on their last show.
Sad Kermit Covers NIN’s Hurt
See Sad Kermit perform Nine Inch Nail’s song Hurt.
NOTE: This is a tongue-in-cheek video of a puppet doing non-wholesome stuff. Not to be taken seriously.

Link to video of a fantastic Johnny Cash of the song (MUST-SEE)
