Henson Live-action Flick, and Parts of The Tick
YouTube user someoneelsestrain -a The Cure reference, I guess- has two sets of very interesting videos: one of Jim Henson’s live-action The Cube, an parts of the live-action The Tick. The Tick? Man, it was one of the more interesting -and very funny- animated series of the 90s.
Narda and Molotov
Sultry Katwo does a bit of her live Nazi arms-raised marching on a very rough video of Narda performing Molotov at YouTube. Half of the video is just-black, so bear with it. Unless you’re into that kind of thing.
Online Vid-(w)horing Again
Me status: my photos are currently uninspired, and I’ve been actively watching online videos, though I do have about half-a-dozen DVDs to weed through.
So here’s what I’d post about: err, online videos.
Taken from the TWiT podcast:
In this hilarious send-up of Lovecraftian horror and steampunk adventure, President Abraham Lincoln’s top spy is a bodyless head known only as Screw-On Head.
When arch-fiend Emperor Zombie steals an artifact that will enable him to threaten all life on Earth, the task of stopping him is assigned to Screw-on Head. Fortunately, Screw-On Head is not alone on this perilous quest. He is aided by his multitalented manservant, Mr. Groin, and by his talking canine cohort, Mr. Dog.
Definitely funny, in a not-everyone-will-think-its-funny way.
And since I’m on I’m-trying-to-remember-the-really-good-stuff-of-olden-days, here’s a user-made music video of Serial Experiments Lain the TV series, as well as the Playstation game:
Nice screenshot, eh? Watch the video. I’m no hardcore anime fan, but anything Lain-related gets me pants-pissing.
Oh, and see the pilot of Wonderfalls -I am fan- with Mahandra and Jaye’s brother played with different actors – so glad there was a cast change. Some slight differences with the show’s score, too.
Colbert Lost It
Maybe its just my odd-brow (not high-brow, nor low-brow; err) sense of things, but most funny YouTube videos are hardly laughable. This video of Stephen Colbert ‘losing it‘ made me red from laughing.
Sweltering in Shanghai
City hot spell breaks 130-year-old record: SHANGHAI suffered through the hottest June 21 since record-keeping began more than 130 years ago as the mercury topped 37.3 degrees Celsius yesterday (June 21, 2006)[source]. So what do we night-shifters do? Go to work in flip-flops. Oh, but what also happens during this heatwave? Constant rain. Great, I know.

Finally! Was able to do a WordPress upgrade; no more sending referrers error. This also means I can post to Litratista.org now. Oh, and a blog theme update? Sometime soon, maybe. I’ve been using the same blue-white color scheme across different color schemes since… 2002? 2003? Yes, even those days when Movable Type was the blog-cms-of-choice. UPDATE: I’m running Hemingway Birght now, and it needs major customizing.

I’m eyeing the fairly new Sigma 17-70mm F2.8-4.5 DC MACRO lens, for my 350D, same as what Markku bought. I really have to, you know. Its for the future Hangzhou and/or Beijing trip.

And here’s what’s probably now normal for a blogger with not enough content to publish: a YouTube video. Here’s a two-minute clip of Zhang Ziyi dancing in Touching Starlight, which was released before Zhang Yimou’s The Road Home.
