our Hidalgo pilgrimage

toured my girl on the merits of Hidalgo, Quiapo, last saturday. most of the stores had some minor interior changes, and there were also some pleasant surprises: the existence of a fairly-priced Fotosnaiper, and a couple of semi-working Zenit cameras. the Olympus XA‘s were still there, but they were still outrageously priced, though its age is starting to show on their available units. there’s also this 200mm Vivitar telephoto screwmount lens we found that looked real interesting, but since i can now confess that the 58mm Helios lens on my Zenit TTL to be a very good performer (i now have prints to show; will post later), i’m thinking of getting a teleconverter instead (like this one).
