a couple of months ago, i saw the above book on sale. the hardbound cover was already worn, but the book itself was still ok. i still didn’t agree with the 400+ price tag, so i didn’t buy it.
what made me think about the book again was Yul Brynner‘s advertisements for Fuji film on some vintage Reader’s Digest’s magazines. heck, i thought, i should’ve bought the book when i had the chance. there were a lot of lovely, lovely vintage cameras, mostly Leica‘s, in that book.
went back to the same place i saw it, and bought it. it easy to regard it as a glamour, hollywood coffee table book, but its also an excellent tribute to a superb actor-photographer.
