- Slashdot:Google’s New Personalized Homepage – Adapting the other portals’ homepage customization is fine; same sentiment goes for the other search engine’s pushing the panic button an re-engineering their entire search strategy because of some search upstart literally killing their businesses 🙂
- Slashdot: Microsoft Developing Windows for Low-End Machines – But it doesn’t look like they’re aiming for a home user with an old Pentium I or II box in the bodega.
Since most of the tech sites are covering the new game consoles (I’m not a gamer, sorry), I really don’t have much to add here.

Speaking of RSS, I’ve been happily using Feedreader instead of Firefox’s Sage extension. Maybe I do want a separate program (or at least a separate window) to view my feeds.

currently using: thunderbird’s built in RSS reader. but i’m starting to move my subscriptions to a web-based service—bloglines.com. i’m all over the place kasi. using 4 computers in at least 3 different locations.
Wouldn’t that be another memory hog to run while browsing with Firefox? Don’t like Kinja anymore?
