Risky thing to try, I know. However, I’ve had some success before with cellphone firmware patching, so I’m a bit confident trying stuff like this out myself. I flashed the Siemens S45 firmware to a Siemens ME45 phone, which practically zonks out the unit completely -rendering the phone useless, you can’t even turn it on- and applied the patch to revive it, and voila! I’ve added a racing game and a mail client.
