Bah. Humbug? Bah.

Christmas Tree at the church plaza

I’ve gone to another south-of-Manila trip with the RFilipinas group since the last post, my wallet only fit with taxi fare and breakfast money. Can you do that with your elite-ish photography clique?

Photos here. I did need to borrow money -which I never do- for a resort lunch and for gas when an ATM was found during a stretch-the-legs stop on the way home.

The black-and-white’s are still not developed, since I don’t have my tank yet. The colored pictures were from a film with plenty of light leaks, which just means I need light seals on my Yashica Electro 35 GSN. I was more in a social mode than a shooting one, hence my better photos were shots of people taking shots of, err, me.

Been to two company Christmas parties, tested a flash diffuser (yes, I BOUGHT ONE OF THEM FANCY ONES, since the index card thing works, but I wanted something presentable already) with the last one. The day I bought the diffuser around Quiapo was the day I took the chance to go around the area again to get my cineaste-wannabe fix, and I did my homework, referring to Noel Vera’s post of the best films of 2007.

Just saw Anton Corbijn’s Control yesterday, and though its one of the most photographic modern film I’ve seen, I’ve come to the conclusion that I like Michael Winterbottom’s 24 Hour Party People more.

Holiday cheer anyone? Well, look somewhere else, you won’t get it here :p
